Advisory for small companies and public institutions

Digital transformation advisory for small companies in northern Romania

We work in Bistrița-Năsăud county, with companies of ten to fifty people and with local public institutions, on digital maturity, EU funding, cybersecurity requirements and digital skills.

What we do

Four services, each built on a published European or national framework rather than on a method of our own.

Digital maturity assessment

We use the digital maturity questionnaire published by the European Commission: six areas, from digital strategy and data management to green digitalisation. The result is a report on where the company actually stands and a roadmap of what can be done next, in the order in which it can be done.

EU and national funding

Identifying calls a company is genuinely eligible for, checking eligibility before any work starts, and preparing the application. Most of the work here is establishing what is not possible, which saves more money than the application itself.

Cybersecurity requirements

Two different situations. Companies that fall directly under the Romanian implementation of the European network and information security rules, and the much larger number of companies that receive security requirements contractually, from a larger client. The second group is rarely aware that the requirements apply to them at all.

Digital skills and training

Training delivered against the European Digital Competence Framework, mapped to the roles that actually exist in a small company rather than to generic profiles.

Why digital and sustainability together

Green digitalisation is one of the six areas in the European assessment tool, which means every company we assess is scored on it. In practice, the question almost never comes from conviction. It comes from a larger client, or from a bank, asking for figures the company has never had to produce.

We treat this inside the digital assessment rather than as a separate engagement, and we use the voluntary European reporting standard for small non-listed companies as the reference, so that the company answers once instead of answering a different questionnaire for every partner.

Cora SRL is a member of the Digital4Sustainability Alliance Community.

Networks and cooperation

  • Member of the Digital4Sustainability Alliance Community.
  • Member of Cluj IT Cluster, which has been a full member of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance since January 2023. DIGITAL SME is an umbrella organisation whose members are national associations and clusters rather than individual companies, so this is how a company of our size connects to that network.
  • Regular cooperation with the Bistrița-Năsăud Chamber of Commerce and Industry on projects addressed to local companies.

For a partner outside Romania, this is usually the relevant point: the work described on this site is carried out with small companies in a single county in northern Transylvania, not with national accounts.

Continuity

Cora SRL has been registered with the Romanian Trade Register since 1991.

The company is run by Valentin Bogdan Crețu, an economist by training, working as a consultant and trainer.
